Lancashire County Council releases 2017 floods investigation report

Lancashire County Council have published a document investigating when an intense rain storm hit the county in November 2017, which affected 900 homes, and reveals the shortcomings that allowed it to happen. The storm, travelling from the Irish Sea coast at Blackpool north-easterly to Lancaster, caused extreme downpours. More than 900 homes and other premises were flooded, with 436 homes internally flooded and 70 households evacuated overnight in Galgate.
