This week will see the biggest Climate Strike worldwide yet, inspired by Swedish youth campaigner, Greta Thunberg. Friday 20th September will see a global scale direct action protest for climate justice, amidst the devastating effects of the climate and ecological crisis that humanity is currently facing. The Moon is landing at Lancaster Priory this November. The historic church will host one of the world’s most awe-inspiring artworks – a massive moon – suspended from its ancient rafters from 1st – 20th November 2019. Measuring seven metres in diameter, The Moon features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface.
