Come along to a dementia friendly screening of Carry On Screaming at The Dukes in Lancaster on Monday 21st October, just in time for Halloween.
A beloved entry of the Carry On canon, Carry On Screaming is send up of all the horror greats, from Frankenstein to Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde.
Carry On Screaming (PG) is screened as part of The Dukes A Life More Ordinary (ALMO, notes below) programme which aims to improve the lives of people with dementia and memory loss, their friends and families though everyone is welcome.
The screening begins at 2.00pm on Monday 21st October and ends at around 4.15pm. Light and sound is specially adjusted for the ALMO screenings and people can move around and come and go as they please during the film and interval entertainment.
Pastoral care is not provided at A Life More Ordinary events so a friend, relative or carer must also attend.

A Life More Ordinary is a pioneering project led by The Dukes which aims to improve the lives of people with dementia and memory loss and their friends and families, by providing film screenings in an adapted environment. It has now been rolled out to 15 venues nationwide.
It is managed by The Dukes and is funded by Arts Council England, Lancaster City Council and Lancaster University.
The Dukes is Lancashire’s only building based professional theatre to produce inhouse plays as well as hosting a wealth of quality touring work. The Moor Lane venue also includes one of the North West’s few independent cinemas, a gallery with an all-year-round exhibition programme, and a café bar.
The Dukes is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. It receives funding from Arts Council England, Lancaster City Council and Lancaster University.
The Dukes is the winner of the 2018 NW Creative Careers Champion Award. In 2017, it won the NW Cultural Education Award for its partnership with Lancaster University and is the current holder of the Northern Soul Award for Best Cinema and The Bay Living Award for Best Arts/Entertainments Venue.
In 2016, The Dukes won the UK Theatre Award for Best Show for Children and Young People.
