Lancaster & District Conservation Volunteers have a new web site – largely created and produced by the organisation’s secretary, Sylvia Cooper, and consultant, Alison Loveland. It updates the format of the previous website retaining links back to it for historical purposes, and hopefully provides a much more informative and user friendly window on their work.
“We want our new website to provide a showcase to a wider audience, but our primary focus remains that of organising and carrying out our work programme,” say the team. “We have been active in the area for 35 years.
Lancaster & District Conservation Volunteers are working towards improving our green infrastructure and managing it effectively at a local level.
“By working together, we can, to some extent at least, help combat one of our biggest challenges, namely recruitment of volunteers who are willing to give freely of their time and experience, in return for learning new skills and making a difference.”
