The Cartoonists Club of Great Britain are back at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal this October, with their club stand in the Clock Tower as usual, festooned with Rich Skipworth’s amazing towers of power. Seeing the event as a great opportunity for showing and selling members’ merchandise, they’ll also be holding their club AGM over the festival weekend.
As you’d imagine, over the weekend the team come up with a number of Kendal-related gags… here are three from Simon Chadwick, Tim Harries and Chris Williams…
Being a member of the CCGB gives you the opportunity to meet up with loads of cartoonists from all over the country. It’s primarily a social club for cartoonists and as such we organise all kinds of get togethers from small evening meet-ups to larger multi-day events and conventions.
Several Lancaster-based comic creators, including writer Andy Diggle and artist Paul Harrison-Davies, will be at the Festival, too.
